    Windham Mountain Racing?

Does AnyOne Now If there will be NASTAR racing at Windham Mountain this Sunday, Dec. 18?
We need to get our first NASTAR races under our belts after doing well at Mountain Dew.
    Thanks

    Hi Jeff,
They've run nothing yet and usually don't until New Years Eve day. There's a contact # on the Where to ski sec. of this wedsite. Maybe that will help.

    Windham Mountain Racing?

No one from Windham knew if NASTAR was happening. Sam, Trina and I made the trip to find no NASTAR. But, we skiied the NASTAR course, minus gates or timer, from the start gate and cranked. Sam and I were in a good groove, but Trina took it a little too fast and dumped. She got back up again and skiied some more (tough 6 year old girl) :) . We need to race NASTAR soon. The Visualization stuff is not enough.

    Hi Jeff,
By the looks of things we'll be hard pressed to find any Nastar until after the
holidays. Of the Pocono's and Catskills, the only Mtn. that has run anything
is Hunter Mtn. If you can hit Windham relatively easy, you can do Hunter in
    about the same time.
What happens in these areas is that they don't want to tie up their limited
terrain by roping off a course until after the holidays- when they generate the bulk of there income for the year. Once the holidays are over, racing becomes a way to bring in revenue that wouldn't be there otherwise. The East Coast resorts just don't have the sprawling acreage like out west, so they run with what generates $ at the moment. It stinks for us racers, but it's what they feel is necessary to please the recreational skier over the holidays. We are, sadly, the minority.
Be Patient grasshopper, and you wil be ripping soon!
