Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows to host 2018 Nationals

Wahoo! My wife will bring her cross country skis after all.

Great Pat. I looked at the Resort at Squaw Creek's (the resort is in the Valley) website to see if they had any condition updates on their cross country course. They didn't, but if this new snow holds she should have a convenient track for either classic or skate skiing. I also checked the Royal Gorge conditions. They are closed today due to the blizzard, but I am told that they typically have snow when others don't: http://www.royalgorge.com/conditions <

Everyone needs to remember to bring a snow shovel. By the looks of things, the grooming crew is going to need all the help they can get to compact snow to get to a firm race base.

I love this sport.....unpredictable....one extreme to the other.

Too much snow is a nice problem to have.......(Please Fedex....you can do it)

I already shipped my skis.....hope they make it......
