    Late Season Age Change

I turned 75 in early March and raced at Deer Valley 6 days later. Why was my handicap time based on the 70-74 age grouping vice my new age 75-79 handicap age group. Cost me a medal? I could not ask the Deer Valley crew about this because I left before noticing the discrepancy. Should not my registration for this ski season reflect the fact That I had a birthday that should have move me to an older age handicap?

Your age for the racing season is based upon what it was on December 31st of 2015 so you were correctly placed in the 70-74 division. Starting next season you'll race in the 75-79 group.
