    Snowboard handicap chart

I am in the process of creating a snowboard handicap chart from results from last year, and I could use some help with data entry. I am using Male results from the 2013-2014 year.

If you would like to help please do as follows:

Go to the nastar.com rankings page, and enter the fields ( 2013-2014 year, snowboard, age group, and resort). Please go through every age group, and enter each handicap under the correct column here:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...WJw/edit#gid=0

I have finished the following resorts:

    Afton Alps
    Alpine Valley Ski area
    Angel Fire resort
    Aspen Highlands
    Aspen Mountain
    Bear Creek Mountain resort
    Bear Valley Resort
    Beech Mountain Resort
    Big Powderhorn Resort
    Bittersweet Ski area
    Blue Knob All season resort
    Bogus Basin Ski resort
    Boyne highlands
    Boyne Mountain Resort
    Bretton Woods
    Brian head Resort
    Bristol Mountain
    Bryce Resort
    Buck hill Ski area
    Caberfae Peaks resort
    Canaan Valley Resort
    Cannon Mountain
    Cascade
    Cataloochee
    Chestnut Mountain
    Copper Mountain
    Cranmore Mountain Resort

Please post any resorts/age groups you complete! Thanks in advance

Happy to help but the link isn't working for me. I'm logged in to Google.

I'm able to get into the spreadsheet but want to make sure I'm doing it right. As I understand it there is no place to enter the resort name.

I looked at Okemo and listed all the handicaps I earned on my board for last season. I've haven't entered them yet because I need to include a lot of other snowboard racers in different age groups. Does it sound like I'm doing it the way you want?

I haven't entered them yet but these are my HCs just from Okemo for last season. Age group Men 65-69 MOO2023

I'm not looking for every singe handicap from everybody, but their best one from that season.

Under the rankings tab, check snowboard, then enter an age group(all need to be entered eventually), and select a resort. Something like this should pop up:

    John Doe 35.98
    Joe Doe 47.37
    Jack Doe 58.84

Just enter those single results into the spreadsheet under the appropriate age group(column).

Still don't think I did it right. I just added the lowest handicap for the season for the fastest male in each age group at Okemo. I suspect you want it for everyone who raced last year? I intentionally left out one or two skiers who were mistakenly uploaded as snowboarders.

Almost. I want the fastest handicap from every snowboarder that raced last year.

And yes, please leave out any people you know are skiers.

We've been too busy this trip to spend the time putting the info together. It may be Spring when we get back to VT before I can devote any time to it.

I spent all yesterday at Squaw Valley training and running gates with three World Cup coaches. Invaluable experience. At 178 cm my board was the shortest one there.

Speaking of snowboarding HC, I was wondering if you can race different disciplines in the same day and have them be separated. For example, I take a 5-6 runs on skis and then switch to a board to take a few more runs.

Would I be able to do this with my same Nastar number?
Would the ski runs be separated from the board runs?

    Thanks

You definitely can race both disciplines the same day. Easiest way is to be assigned two different bib numbers and have the person handling registration enter it that way

    Example
Bib 500. Joe Smith Alpine Skier
    Bib 501. Joe Smith Snowboarder

You can do it this way with the same NASTAR number. I used that method for years but in the past few years found it easier to just have a separate NASTAR ID number for the two disciplines.

At the end of the season you can merge the results if you like.
