If my wife doesn't make the trip, I just might do the same. She hurt her back so hasn't made up her mind yet.

Sorry gang, I'm out - the girls got my better half and I tix to the ND vs MSU hockey game at Munn on the 12th, and I cannot pass up the opportunity to watch my former team!

So instead of racing in the cold at Marquette, we will be reliving our college days in East Lansing that weekend - cool present from the girls, and always fun to see how much the game has changed since I skated for ND in the 70's - and since my wife is an MSU grad, it will be twice the fun!

Sorry - I'm bummed to miss, but.......................Go Irish!

Dakine is now Nubs Guy because of a login snafu or whatever.
I'm out of skiing until mid January due to recent cataract surgery on both eyes.
Then it will take me a month or so to train up after a six week enforced layoff from anything atheletic.
I'm becoming a bionic person part by part.
I had double hernia surgery right after the Nubs season ended.
Then I really smashed myself in a surfing thing and went through a month of dental hell.
Now, with no hernias, fewer teeth and two new eyes I'm really hot to get back on the hill.
I'm watching how JT Bear will do with his new knees because motorcycle flat track racing left me with a need for a new left one.
I'm hoping to get in a few NASTAR runs in March so Jr. Bananna can finally hand me my ass as he threatened to do last year.
Maybe NASTAR will start a new class for those of us with plenty of replacement parts.
Maybe I'll be a bit faster now that it looks like I will be able to actually see the racing line instead of skiing by braille.
I'm hoping I'll be able to retain my #1 ranking at Nubs in the 65 to 69 class.
Stay tuned and Big Aloha to all you NASTAR hounds.
You are either a racer or you aren't.

    Hey NubsGuy:

Best of luck with the new eyes. I had both eyes operated on in August to remove my Cataracts and install occular implants. I now see at 20/15 in both eyes!! This procedure is simply amazing.

I have been back on snow now for nearly 2 months. I have some pain in the right leg, and need to see my Dr. about the soft tissue pain likely a biceps femoris issue? That said, I have significantly less knee pain than I've had in the past 15 years. This year will be a recovery year. I may get told to slow down.......

Best of luck with the recovery.

My dad had the cataract surgery and now at age 91 sees far better than I do. Looking forward to the day I can see that well!

Nubs Guy, hope the recovery goes well and hope you can join us at Snowmass.

I've got the flyer. How, when and where do I sign up? As long as the weather is decent, I'm driving up.
