    Wait, What!?

I was aware that was alleged to have happened during last year's Thursday pre-Nationals race, but assumed that it was an isolated event.

    Wow.

I looked at my results from last year against Fark and had I been there, in theory I would have run a 27 and 29 second runs for 11 handicaps

Only 9 kids under 10 would have beat me. Them's some fast kids.

but I don't think you could set a 29second course unless it was one of those 27M offset courses that one poster was talking about a few weeks ago.

I just thought of a way it could happen and be innocent. What if Fark set pace on a snowboard but the timer didn't note it?

216 racers ran the course that day last year (gives you an idea how crowded it could be this year on Thursday) and not one person recorded a single digit HC.

The day before 13 out of 115 recorded a single digit HC. Even I made that list so those figures were too low on Wednesday. They were way too high on Thursday.

Hopefully they'll have accurate pacesetting this year.

I wonder: would it be rude or overstepping to request to the people at the start hut that they send down a real pacesetter if they have not?

Mom always said,"If you have to ask, then you know the answer."

But go ahead and do so, I'm sure they would sincerely appreciate the implication of your request.

So you're saying it's OK for them to not even paceset, and after they take our 10 dollar entry fees, their resentment with a customer's disapproval of their fraudulent system trumps them doing their job and running NASTAR the right way?

    Read it again.......

I quoted my mom and encouraged you to say something.

Didn't you read my post before you quoted it?
