    Nice Job

Nice job on the new web site HQ. I especially like the additional content/links.

Just realized that some posts were dropped during the transition. Not many but they're probably irretrievably gone now.

The "Preview Post" function can be accessed by hitting the "Go Advanced" button. A very limited selection of smiley faces is there as well.

    Unhappy

I have had mixed feelings. The look is okay and having the links is nice. I have not been able to login under my previous username still and having to do that again with another email is a royal pain. I have also had problems with the editor for replying to the forum as well. Interesting, registering was asked if I was a subscriber to Skiing - which I was, but don't want to rant about the perceived "dis" other than saying I would have liked a choice of subscription to skiing interactive - which is nice - or add on to your Ski subscription, which I apparently and good until 2018!!!

Is there a way to use the old username or someone we can contact?

It has been almost as bad as breaking in a new electronic medical record system from my stand point - boo

I was successful logging in only by replying to this thread. We'll see what happens when I try to post it.

edit: Looks like it posted OK but I could not log in from the top of the page.

Wow, I'm finally in! I was starting to take it personally that I was banned and would NEVER be allowed back in. I had already thought of 5 or 6 new names...Hehe

Anyway, so far...not a fan. I'm sure it will grow on me. It will probably take some getting used to. I mean, the things like emoticons not being there I would assume is just a glitch that is low on the list of fixes.

I haven't gone in to edit any of my stuff yet. I'll go take a look and see how it works for me.

I must say that an odd feature is that in any given Topic, only 4 threads show. Maybe I have to change my settings or something.

Also, it would be nice to not have to click on the GO ADVANCED button to get full reply features. In anther forum I'm on, clicking REPLY gives you full reply functions, but clicking QUICK REPLY gets you the basic reply box.

Ahhhh, that's MUCH better! Thanks for the link to set my preferences, Pat. Probably wouldn't have found it without your link... That smoothed things out a bit.

Does anyone know how to sort forums, threads and replies within threads by most recent date to oldest date? I used to be able to look at the most recent threads/replies to figure out the new ones that I wanted to look at when I checked the forums.
    Thanks.

    Hi Gang:

I am working with the IT and Development folks within the Bonnier Corporation to address the issues we are seeing since the Forum software/platform conversion form last week.

Bonnier moved our Forum and content from phpBB software to the vBulletin software package. As we're all aware, there are some hiccups with the conversion. Please continue to provide your observations, comments and concerns on this thread or feel free to shoot me an e-mail at jtbearz06@aol.com.

Hang in there, the Bonnier team has been very responsive to my suggestions and concerns. I'm confident they will continue to iron out the system issues to improve our user experiences.

The speed bumps are disappearing. The folks implementing the new forum have been responsive and quick to address problems.

Accessing your personal control panel is still elusive. Once you've logged in, go to http://forums.nastar.com/usercp.php

Once there you have some control over things like how many posts will appear on a page, etc. Also, you won't be able receive Private Messages from other members until you have enabled that feature. Go to General Settings to make that change.

I still like to see a bit more of a social network especially between "Team" members so folks can communicate within their different teams, such as "We'll all meet at Blanche at 10 am" for example. So that said, "Groups" seems to be needed within the site further expanding member experience.
