    Sorta new topic.

    NEXT STRANGE SEARCH.

In keeping with my ski Jonesing and applying it to my garden, here's the next odd request.... I'm looking for a ski and boot graveyard. Any ideas?
Now that I have 5 lift chairs in my garden I might as well adorn them wth planter boxes (old boots) for annuals, ski's for trellace, and build a few Adarondacks from old straights.

How about raiding the leftovers at a used ski swap?

    Uses for old skis

    Boots make great flower vases.

I found a new indoor use for old skis. I took the bindings off one, drilled five holes and inserted dowels and then mounted it on the wall for a coat rack. Next time I'm in Vermont I'll try to remember to take a picture of it.

The original plan was to mount old ski pole handles instead of dowels but I got lazy...

    The search continues.

    Mumster-
Sorry you can't get out to Mt. Hood. If it's any comfort me either.. misery loves company and all that. I will probably hit the Poconos/Catskills/and
    Green Mtns come fall. Thanks.

12-1200 what's the difference amongst friends. We can stack 'em like chords of wood. Sounds like the voice of experience on the boot/planter and I have a very similar coat rack.
All kidding aside, there are plenty of Mountains in the East that could handle the load. Okemo could definately from a ski perspective, but poor Ludlow would probably collapse!

    Ron:
I want to go, and hope to go to Mt Hood sometime this summer. It's just awkward going when no other adults will be around. If I can find a week when others are going, I'd prefer to go then... AND AFTER THIS YEARS NASTAR NATIONALS, I NEED TO GO

So Ron, why not change your mind and go too? It would make a nice change from arranging ski lifts in your garden.
