I'm hoping you can give me a few pointers on maximizing my start. Not so much the skating and poling but the initial launch out of the gate. I've never mastered a kick start and my attempts usually result in an upward launch rather than a forward motion. Last season I experimented with simply "falling forward" and using upper body strength to get the run going but I still feel I'm needlessly losing precious tenths. Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
