A friend of mine was skiing at Deer Valley last April. He told me 2 Nastar runs cost $20 and unlimited for the day was $100  I thought he was mistaken and asked him several times. He insisted those prices are correct. Has anyone else seen these outrageous prices anywhere? I mean c'mon. I like to ski Deer Valley but even I would not pay that for Nastar.

That's not so bad... try buying a sandwich, some fries and a beer for lunch at Deer Valley. It will cost more than Nastar.

Why the hell would you go to Deer Valley anyway? Snowbird and Alta aren't very far away!

Snowbird/Alta? Why would anyone want to go there? There's no Nastar there.

Cause you can put fat skis on your feets and try your move in a steep narrow nasty chute. That be fun att

If I remember correctly, DV charges $6 run or $10 for two NASTAR runs. Timed non-NASTAR runs were $3/run?

DV does NOT offer an unlimited daily NASTAR pass but does offer an unlimited NASTAR season pass for $300.

OK now my friend says he paid $20 but did get 4 runs and they did offer unlimited for the day for $99. Still very high though. I'm used to paying $6 for 2 runs and $10 unlimited. He also said the Deer Valley medal was not a typical Nastar medal but a nicer fancier one.

Wow Russ: That ain't right! I'm a race course junkie, but $20 is steep. I'm pretty sure that I won't frequent DV.

Agreed. I guess $100 unlimited Nastar for a Deer Valley skier is equal to $10 for the rest of us.
At my local hill I pay $60 unlimited for the season.

I paid $50/season/each at both Keystone and Telluride for Susie and I. Now what's even better is when you know the race dept crews like my pals Whipple & Patrick. They graciously offer complimentary NASTAR!! It just doesn't get any better than that!!
