So, for those of us who have received our "Congratulations" banner, the first thing we do is find out how much lodging is. If you click on the lodging link through NASTAR, it takes you to central reservations for Steamboat. If you then do a search for lodging, you will only find 2 (very expensive) options.

I just called Steamboat Central Reservations and they told me that is all there is. Turns out NASTAR scheduled Finals at the same time that most of the country is going to Spring Break. I was just advised to call around and see if I can find any lodging at all! However, these places are not going to have a NASTAR discount.

Please, all, before you register for finals, make sure you have somewhere to stay first!!!!!

    Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS again! :)

check Thunderhead condo's. It's not on the preferred properties list. I managed to get a room there last year on short notice. It's not the greatest place, but it's close to the race course.

I stayed at the Super 8 a couple of years ago and I've heard of a reasonable place called the Rabbit Ears.

A few weeks ago I booked a room for the Championships at the Hotel Bristol. At that time they had three rooms left. My daughter has stayed there and said it's nice. Free WiFi and it's on the shuttle route from Hayden and the free shuttle to the mountain. Price is pretty reasonable too.

I've got a room at the Super 8 - I'm just worried about all the other people who want to come.

    Please look before you schedule!

Anyone else already found a place to stay?
