I'm also sorry to hear about your injury. That didn't hurt? Compared to what? Childbirth?

Congrats on your birthday. Did you know that you look just like a famous downhiller and quite youthful! So, who's the woman you have your arm around?

Oh, come on you guys..."It's just a flesh wound..."

Actually, that looks quite nasty. Sorry to hear about it. I would say even sorrier to see it, but I love that stuff (as long as it isn't me). You know what they say...Tragedy plus you, minus me, equally hilarious (or in this case, cool to see pictures of...)

I hope it all mends well with not lasting issues...all the best.

The latest update on 'My Big Owie' is a Good News/Bad New kind of thing :-|

Good News: Stitches are out finally and I can walk like a normal person and go back to riding.

Bad News: Infection! About a 1" area was infected and only healed at the subdural level...when the stitches were removed the dermal layer split open along with another 1/2" on either side. Yuck. So, more antibiotic ointment, more antibiotics, and more doctors visits  . The scar is gonna be a DOOZY!!

Those pesky infections really do mess with your fun, don't they? Sorry to hear about it. Hope it clears up fast and doesn't scar too badly. Good luck. BTW, post pictures of your recovery so we can see how it is healing...

We can fix that.... my dad has an awesome set of power tools.

Hope you get better soon. It would be nice to see someone from the IR be released.

It's certainly looking a whole lot better. Maybe you ought to switch to road biking.

Speedy recovery! Hope to see you at Steamboat next year.
