    Breckenridge gap

Anyone intimate with the Breck program. No results posted since 25 Jan. For a resort that typically covers every day of the week, it seems odd the program would have ground to a halt. Maybe their computer is on the fritz.

I would be planning a couple visits later this month, but specifically for NASTAR so this would definately change my plans to Copper or Keystone.

Resorts would be wise to listen. I've got guests coming from out of state later this season and having no NASTAR plays a big role in who sees our dinero.

We went to Breck last Saturday (Jan 27th) and I spent half the day looking for their NASTAR course - they advertised they were open daily, I finally found the hill and the start and finish line, but no people, gates, etc. Finally about 12 noon (they advertised starting at 11:30 am) I called the Ski School and spent 20 minutes on hold (mind you this was while I was on the slope - what a collosal waste of time, in retrospect) but finally found out that because they were/are hosting the Honda Skier/Snowboard Cross Series, they claimed they needed the manpower for hill/race prep, and couldn't spare any people to run NASTAR until after the series was over - really sounded like kind of a lame excuse to me. Which I told them in no uncertain terms, along with that if you aren't running NASTAR when you advertise that you do, you should at least let people know.

So no NASTAR at Breck until after the weekend when the Honda Series concludes - but I'd sure call first if I was going to make sure they didn't have something else going on the shut down the course.

Hope this gives you some enlightenment!

    Notes on Breck............

    Roger:

Matt is correct. Breck hosted the Ski Tour and the Skiercross Course went down the NASTAR trail. The NASTAR course has been closed since Jan. 25th Should be opening soon.

I also owe you some information, I will catch you this weekend.
