    Who is skiing what

What skis is everyone going to ski this year, and what boots. I really like the Volkl Skis, and the Atomic boots are real nice and fit well. But I am undecided on what to do.

Just picked up my new Rossi Zenith/Z5s on Saturday...will use same Salomon boots.

Daughter will be on brand new Volkl Race Tigers with Marker bindings (her back up/bum around pair) and new Rossi Power 9s and bindings. New Nordica boots too...thought she'd get another year out of last year's pair but oh well. She's making out like a bandit for a 9 yr old!

Same boots as last year 05-06 Head WC RS80, and the new skis I only used twice last season 04-05 Head WC RD iGS. Might be purchasing a set of Head RD SL skis this year since I didnt get to last year. I am also thinking of looking into some real plug race boots...hmmm decisions decisions.

The skis I'm ashamed to admit to.

I just picked up a pair of last year's Diablo de Technica. Replacing a 14 year old pair of Nordica caveman 'slippers'.

Did I make a mistake, or can a human ski other than race courses in the Diablo? I don't pretend to know anything about equipment, and wanted something that would grip my feet rather than allow me to swim as I did in the old worn out boots. A bigger difference in boot I cannot imagine.
But now I'm afraid I won't be able to ski worth a crap in anything outside of the gates.

Still thinking about getting a speed suit, but fear offending too many people just out trying to enjoy the beauty of the winter wonderland. :D

Maybe just duct taping all the loose stuff on my jacket and bibs will do.

I have the 130 Diablo race boots and they love to rip turns. They are deffinatly not a good boot to stand around in...you want to keep moving in them.

    Atomic Sx:7 in a 180cm

Boots were retired at kicking horse last year. I will either pick up the last pair of Avanti v-11's in my size or wheel and deal with the Atomic rep.

I'm barefooting at the moment :)
